The Marketplace Strategy Coordinator will be based in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, being the reference for our marketplace's growth and engagement across the company.

The Big Challenge

How do we continue driving the historic revenue and platform growth of our marketplace categories (e.g. agribusiness, services & others)? Which investments and initiatives should be prioritized in the next quarters? How to turn these insights into actionable, clear suggestions and plans for the next years of growth at OLX?

These are important questions which the Marketplace Strategy Coordinator and their team will be responsible creating hypotheses behind them, using deep understanding of our data and analytical methods to answer these questions - and drive results and action plans from the insights discovered.

What You'll Do

The Marketplace Strategy Coordinator will be responsible for driving the strategy behind our marketplace's growth and engagement, with a strong focus on using data to create hypotheses, insights and action plans. Responsibilities include:

  • Helping to develop and refine the user & revenue growth strategy for our marketplace categories which are some of our main growth drivers in the next years
  • Creating data- based hypotheses behind marketplace growth and engagement
  • Analyzing our user database to extract strategic insights and drive the company to act around such insights
  • Build and lead a team of analysts which will be one of the analytical references within the company
  • Interface deeply and continually with many terms across the company, including Product, Technology, Commercial, Finance and many others!
  • Owning KPIs and OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) defined for our Marketplace categories
  • Ensure clear and continuous communication across teams which must enable and support the strategy execution for our Marketplace categories
  • Bring a lot of drive to build one of biggest internet businesses in Brazil

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in leading / driving strategic projects (preferably in technology), multidisciplinary teams and accomplishing shared objectives without direct hierarchical control
    • Experience in strategic consulting or strategy teams in technology companies is preferred
  • Innate leader and excellent people management, communication and influence skills. Acts as true owner of the business;
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with product and technology teams, giving structure, context and providing clear rationale behind prioritizations and strategy
  • Approach complex problem-solving with well-structured frameworks and points of view backed by rationale, analytics and strong business sense
  • Strong track-record in analytical, PO (product owner) or strategy roles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and fast growth environment, comfortable with ambiguity;
  • Show great persuasion and communication skills - able to give focus, inspire and mobilize other areas
  • Results-oriented and highly data driven;
  • Fluent in English
