Senior Product Manager, Search & Personalization

Running the biggest marketplace in Brazil in fast growth is a very exciting challenge. That’s why we are now looking for a Senior Product Manager to build superior buyer experience and help people discover easily relevant and interesting content on OLX.

  • Marketplace liquidity growth 
  • Category Verticalization - building experiences that satisfy category specific needs 
  • Drive wider adoption of Machine Learning & narrow AI to improve user experience (personalisation, content discovery, user action anticipation) 
  • Drive forward our understanding and vision of how buying Used Goods, Cars & Real Estate should evolve (user needs, technologies, macro-trends, business models)

  • Vertical Category experience (differentiating product based on a specific category needs like Car buyer etc)

Core responsibilities

As Senior Product Manager you will report to the CPO and will be based in Rio de Janeiro. 

You will work together in a multidisciplinary team comprised of data analysts, UX/UI designers and developers. You will also work in close cooperation with the Data Science and Advertising team.

Your responsabilities will include:

  • Manage the full product lifecycle
  • Set the product strategy for search and content discovery (including personalisation and content recommendation experience)
  • Develop deep understanding of OLX Buyers, how they discover content and what they consider attractive high-quality content
  • Set the product strategy for each category vertical (like Cars, Services, Furniture etc)
  • Establish product goals & OKRs and map them to initiatives and product hypotheses
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
  • Validate product features qualitatively & quantitatively (user research, prototypes validation, A/B tests)
  • Own set of business, user, product quality and stability KPIs; Monitor, analyse and turn quantitative insights into product optimisations
  • Create, share & communicate extensively product vision, strategy, roadmap/backlog & progress and results of initiatives


What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelor in a related quantitative or computer discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning)
  • Large experience in product management or related
  • Technical background or experience with tech/data product development (desirable)
  • Advanced English and Portuguese is optional
  • Experience with search, personalization and content recommendation is a plus
  • Be passionate about challenge
