The importance of the role

A large driver of the potential commercial success of OLX derives from its leading position in the Autos and Real Estate categories. Due to OLX’s massive amount of buyers, professionals of all sizes such as small cars shops, large dealerships, brokers and real estate developers are naturally attracted to the platform to attract clients to their products.

For the sales team to properly bring in and retain our clients, the team needs thorough analytical and market intelligence support to ensure they the sales team can focus on the right opportunities. You and your team will be the main go to person for solving complexities for the sales teams and making revenue generating opportunities highly visible.

 

Mission of the role

As Manager Sales Performance you will be responsible for working closely with the Sales Director and Managers to identify and analyze revenue generating opportunities and focus for the sales operations. You will work closely with the Telesales operations of ~80 employees and a Key Accounts (field sales) operation of ~30 employees, and also work with the Head of Autos and Real Estate verticals to ensure the business needs can be well translated to all levels of the sales organization.

 

Scope and Responsibilities

The Manager of Sales Performance will be based in São Paulo, responsible for setting the pace and the health of our sales operations. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and has the Directors of Sales, Autos and Real Estate as its peers.

 

Your mandate will include:

  • Team: Build a high performance and super driven team of analysts focusing primarily on revenue generating opportunities. Strong people management.
  • Sales planning and intelligence: weekly and monthly forecasting of revenue, assessment and analyzes of revenue generating opportunities including benchmarks, trade-offs, client and prospect segmentation and profiling, capacity planning, target setting and pricing
  • Analytics and problem solving: Continuous support of organization with analysis to set the direction with clear actions for the commercial team. KPI monitoring. Ensure analyses are done at highest quality. Most analyses aren’t trivial, so strong problem solving skills are needed together with strong cooperation with other analytical teams in organization. Ruthlessly prioritize analyses that will add more value to the business
  • Performance Management: team and individual sales team performance, work closely with quality and training teams to ensure the highest output standard for the team and alignment to strategy
  • Monthly close and commissions: Work in collaboration with Finance on the monthly closing and HR for sales commissions

Requirements:

  • Strong track-record (5+ years) as a Management Consultant preferably in top 3 (McK, BCG, Bain)
  • Post-grad or Masters in engineering, mathematics or economics,
  • Experience in monetization, commercial strategy is a plus,
  • Experience in the internet space,
  • Fluent in English
