Running the biggest marketplace in Brazil in fast growth is a very exciting challenge. That’s why we are now looking for a senior Product Director to join us and help shape OLX monetization strategy and professional seller experience, and lead the efforts on how OLX can make sellers and partners even more successful. 

 

Role Description: 

 

As a Product Director in the cross functional Monetization area, you will be focused on defining and optimizing subscription experience for professional sellers, helping driving revenue and introducing emerging products that reimagine the way we deliver value to consumers, clients & partners. You will be responsible for setting direction, driving the multi-year strategy, and assessing business impact, as well as hiring, managing and growing PMs. You’ll be working with an amazing team of talented teammates in product, tech, design, commercial, marketing, analytics, operations from across the organization.

You will be uniquely positioned to make a huge impact on the value OLX can provide to its users. Your work will be critical in setting our sellers up for long-term success and growth of their businesses. 

 

Scope

Paid Products owns our core monetization products such as subscription product, PAYG offering & display advertising - visibility products that enhance seller & client performance. Key objective is building high performance product portfolio that delights customers. 

Online Sales & Promotions team is responsible for optimizing online sales channels for C2C & small B2C sellers and leading price promotion development.  

Emerging Products (VAS) leads the efforts of bringing OLX closer to transaction and deliver value across the whole value chain - car financing, insurance etc. 

Professional Experience builds tools & services that make sellers more efficient, intelligent and help them grow their business (integration, CRM, price & market intelligence etc) 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • You will help shape OLX strategy for sellers success & monetization, leading key initiatives and driving cross-functional alignment and progress
  • You will grow and support a hardworking team of highly collaborative PMs/GPMs who take pride in building high-quality high-impact products
  • You will lead the cross-functional teams in your area, making trade-offs given product and business exigencies. Manage complex projects across multiple teams
  • You will be a champion of OLX’s professional users. You'll deeply understand and synthesize user needs into product priorities and roadmap plans
  • You will partner with teams across OLX to ensure our new user experience is reflective of the needs of professional sellers and aligns with our overall strategy
  • Own overall metrics: subscription & PAYG sales, seller satisfaction, online sales conversions
  • You will partner with analytics and finance teams on revenue forecasting, budget planning and consolidate & report performance  



What will you need to be successful in this role?

 

  • 5+ years of experience building great software, including responsibilities driving revenue
  • Deep understanding of customer needs, and strong motivation to tackle their problems
  • Proven experience leading and growing a team of PM direct reports, including performance management. Experience with formal review cycles 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive experimentation to achieve impact on core metrics for a product at scale
  • Ability to define long-term business strategy, and drive impact on short-term goals
  • Strong skills around cross-functional collaboration, influence, and communication; ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
