Product Manager (Buyer Journey - Content Discovery)

OLX Brazil is already one of the biggest internet consumer brands and the leading marketplace in the country. Our app is among the most downloaded in the country and millions of people sold and bought goods worth more than R$50B in 2017 in our marketplace.

We have around 6M daily active users and 500k ads inserted per day, with this gigantic amount of data we have a huge challenge in terms of liquidity of the marketplace but we also have resources to build a world class content discovery experience.

Running the biggest marketplace in Brazil in fast growth is a very exciting challenge! That’s why we are now looking for a Product Manager to build superior buyer experience and help people discover easily relevant and interesting content on OLX.

 

Scope

  • Help buyer navigate through the platform to find content;
  • Facilitate buyers' decision making process & incentivize their contact to sellers
  • Facilitate Buyers location-related interactions
  • Make our users feel unique through a personalized journey

Given that OLX Brazil have a great amount of categories, all of these previous points should be managed given the different needs our users might have.

 

Core responsibilities

As Product Manager, Buyer Journey you will report to the PM of Content Discovery working side-by-side with Location, Search & Personalization teams and will be based in Rio de Janeiro.

- You will work together in a multidisciplinary team comprised of data analysts, UX/UI designers and developers.

- You will also work in close cooperation with the Data Science, Advertising, Paid Products and Verticals teams.

Your mandate will include:

  • Develop deep understanding of OLX Buyers, how they discover content and what they consider attractive high-quality content
  • Set the product strategy for the team conciliating always with vertical teams (such as Cars, Real Estate, Jobs, etc
  • Establish product goals & OKRs and map them to initiatives and product hypotheses
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers
  • Validate product features qualitatively & quantitatively (user research, prototypes validation, A/B tests)
  • Own set of business, user, product quality and stability KPIs; Monitor, analyze and turn quantitative insights into product optimisations
  • Create, share & communicate extensively product vision, strategy, roadmap/backlog & progress and results of initiatives

 

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Bachelors degree in Design or Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in product management or related
  • Experience working with products for multiple platforms - Web, Mobile Site, Android & iOS
  • A good grasp of design thinking, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, usability and accessibility concerns
  • Experience in using UX/Design to develop user-centric solutions & expertise in human-computer interaction
  • Be able to communicate in English (advanced level)
  • Nice to have knowledge about Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Nito to have skilled in SQL and hands on experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g.Tableau, Metabase, Redash, etc.)
