The Head of Real Estate will be based in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, being the senior reference for Real Estate across the company.

One of the success drivers of OLX will derive from a clear leadership in the Real Estate category. OLX is a key player in the Real Estate segment in Brazil with more than 1.5M listings, 10 million monthly users on the platform and more than 30% of internet pageviews in Real Estate in Brazil.  OLX is currently the #2 player in the market with the ambition to be the clear #1 Real Estate player by 2021. OLX has a massive opportunity to capitalize on its brand and its massive audience to propel its Real Estate segment as the clear place to go. Besides its Real Estate category, OLX has a Real Estate vertical site


In order to meet our ambitious goals, OLX is looking for a rockstar Director of Real Estate with deep expertise in the segment to bring this knowledge to the organization, help us define our Real Estate strategy and be the one to execute this strategy.



The Director of Real Estate will have end to end responsibility for the Real Estate business. The Head of Real Estate will achieve these results in a nimble team that will work across the organization - this means bringing context and direction to opportunities that need to be tackled together without formal hierarchical relationship. Other responsibilities include:


  • Help OLX further develop its Real Estate strategy (combination of OLX Real Estate and the vertical site
  • Bring deep market knowledge to the organization, helping shape the product, marketing and commercial agenda of OLX
  • Fully own vertical objectives (end to end KPI’s on growth and revenues) and ensure they are captured by relevant functional teams
  • Ensure strong communication and alignment on execution for teams with vertical specific objectives
  • Build vertical brands (OLX Real Estate and Storia), drive trade marketing, be the senior reference and spokesperson for the Real Estate vertical
  • Define commercial proposition, targets, pricing and go-to-market strategy and give direction to dedicated Real Estate sales teams (face to face and telesales)
  • Bring a lot of drive to build one of biggest internet businesses in Brazil


Key requirements for the role

  • Innate leader and excellent people management, communication and influence skills. Acts as true owner of the business
  • Strong track-record (8+ years) in the Real Estate industry in senior positions. Experience in different roles within the industry are a must. Has very broad knowledge of the Real Estate value chain
  • Thrives in a fast paced and fast growth environment, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Able to give focus, inspire and mobilize other areas without direct hierarchical control
  • Focused on results and highly data driven
  • Fluent in English
